Saturday Sights - George Balanchine's The Nutcracker at NYC Ballet

It's Christmas Eve and if you are lucky enough to be in NYC, put on your pretty frock and beautiful boots and head out to New York City Ballet to see George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. There is a Matinée at 2pm (if you can still get a ticket that is). The Nutcracker is on until 31st December. For more information visit the NYC Ballet website.

Givenchy Haute Couture AW 11/12 was bridal heaven. Riccardo Tisci uses chantilly lace, airy feathers, gauzy silk tulle, raw cashmere and organza to contrast with pony skin, nappa leather, metal chains, white beads and reflecting pearls. These designs are both original and unique while remaining timeless and classic.

This year, we visited Floriade in Canberra. The displays were amazing and provided 

us with a great colour palette for this week's mood card.

Saturday Sights - Can you see Liu Bolin?

Can you see Liu Bolin? Liu Bolin is a Chinese born artist known for taking photographs of himself painted in order to blend in with the background. In June 2011, Bolin created his Hiding in New York series, in which he incorporated iconic New York sites into his work.

Saturday Sights - Dinosaur Designs at GOMA

To celebrate the fifth birthday of the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Dinosaur Designs have been commissioned to produce a body of work. The collection of works consist of large platters that will be displayed in the Foyer Cabinet. 

If you are located in Brisbane or heading that way before the 25 March 2012, go have a look at what Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy, from Dinosaur Designs, have created.
